This Christmas season has been the most beautiful of all my life. My perspective, my joy and my “reason for the season” are all so indescribably wonderful this year.
Christmas has always been my favorite holiday. However, I’ve never felt such a profound tug on my heart to embrace the as I have this season. My heart is filled with so much joy, so much peace and so much gratitude for my Savior Jesus Christ and for all He has done for me.
I felt a stirring. I had a vision. Something inspired me to capture some very different photos than what I usually create. It was out of my comfort zone, the lighting was different, the camera settings were different, even the editing had to be approached in such a new way for me. I don’t know that these are technically perfect, but they tell a story so wonderful I don’t even care about the technicalities.
There are some very special elements in these photos. The bible belonged to my great-grandma Bertha Adkins. The lights represent Christ’s light. My daughter represents God’s promises. She also is my most treasured gift. The nativity scene was a gift to Acelyn. That little manger scene represents more than we give it credit for. That was the beginning of our salvation, that sweet babe was literally our “saving grace”.
Merry Christmas Everyone
