Rollins College Engagement Session

This was my very first time shooting at Rollins College. I was so excited when Shannon chose this location for her engagement photos. I’ve seen photos from this location before from other photographers and fell in love! Let me just say, Rollins College, you did not disappoint me (insert a million heart eyes). Also, I have to give some major appreciation to my sweet friend Amalie Orrange who was there for a session herself, she was so sweet and gave me some tips on amazing photo spots and OH MY HEAVENS! She’s earned an extra set of Angel wings lol! Thanks Amalie!

A Disney Proposal… 

I always love hearing about how my couples get engaged. David and Shannon’s proposal is definitely one for the books. The couple has been together for some time. Like most couples they both kinda knew the time to take the next step in their relationship was drawing near. BUT, David did an incredible job making sure Shannon had no idea what was coming!

Just an average trip to Disney

Shannon and David take their kiddos to Disney World regularly. I mean why not?? Disney IS the happiest place on earth! I love that they are Disney goers. I am such a big kid at heart, so the fact that they share that love for Disney makes me adore them even more! Anyways back to the proposal…

David had been planning this for some time and had a well thought out plan. He knew that he would have to go through Disney security and didn’t want the ring to set off any alarms and ruin his plans! So, David invited a friend along to bring the ring in with her! (Smart man!). His original plan was to walk around some to figure out the perfect spot! However, Shannon had other plans lol! In all the times David and Shannon had visited Disney, they had never taken a photo in front of the castle together, just the two of them. Since they had a friend with them she figured it was the perfect opportunity to capture that sweet photo!

It was if time stood still…. 

So there they were, standing in front of Cinderella’s Castle. Hundreds of people surrounding them. I’m sure David’s heart was racing. He was probably trying to play it all out in his mind, trying to decide if this was it, was this the perfect time? They stood for their photo, David dropped down to one knee, ring in his hand. Hundreds of people took notice, they were surrounded by so many people but I am sure, in that moment, their focus was only on one another. In front of the Cinderella castle, in front of hundreds of on-lookers, David asked Shannon to be his wife. She said YES!! The crowd cheered and applauded they could hear the “AWWWS” from those swooning over this sweet moment! It truly was the most Magical moment of their lives together. This is just the beginning… I know this sweet couple that radiate so much love and joy have many more fairytales coming their way!
