St. Augustine Engagement Session

It’s normal for me to get asked for suggestions for engagement session locations from my couples. However, this time was a tad different. Mindy and Steven are good friends of mine and when Mindy asked me if there was anywhere that I’ve been dying to do an engagement session. My little photographer LEAPED with JOY! I knew the PERFECT place! I’ve been dying to photograph an engagement session in beautiful, historic St. Augustine! Mindy completely trusted my vision and went with my crazy idea to drive 3 hours away to capture this special time in their lives!

I didn’t want this day to feel rushed or hectic. We drove a long way and these sweet friends of mine deserved to be treated just as amazingly as all of my other wonderful #brandygracebrides and #brandygracegrooms. This day was so full of adventure and fun! A little cold, but we braved it like champs! We took the trolley part of the day and hopped on and off from one gorgeous location to the next! It was so much fun to get to experience such a beautiful historic place in such a sweet and memorable way.

Like A Brother…

Steven is like a brother to me. In so many ways he reminds me of my dad. If I need him for anything, I’ve always known that he is just a phone call away. Steven is always the first person I call when I want to know about a certain plant or flower, he’s so knowledgable in that way! Mostly I adore his kindness and heart for others, his infectious smile, silliness and bear hugs! And, oh boy can he also have a temper just like my dad did! I was always super protective over who my dad dated and not many made the cut. In the same way, I care very much who my dear friend chooses to spend his life with.

Mindy brightens Steven’s smile more than I’ve ever seen. She balances him in just the right ways. She’s sweet and kind but also stern and structured in just the right ways. She’s a little shy but just the right amount to make it interesting for him lol! Mindy calms his hot temper before it even starts. The two of them just make sense together. Where one is weak the other is strong. They support each other and compliment each other so perfectly. It’s an honor to be capturing these memories for them, but even more so to be a part of their lives and to call them friends.

Steven and Mindy, I love you both dearly and wish you all of the happiness your heart can handle. Never stop smiling together, supporting and encouraging together. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you two!
