A Love Letter to My Daughter.
I honestly don’t know where to begin… How can I possibly put into words how much you mean to me and I how much I love you. I honestly don’t think it’s really possible. The past seven almost eight months of my life have been the most challenging yet most rewarding days of my entire being. You bring me so much joy every single day. I try my best to be sure to always brighten your day as much as you do mine. You are everything I’ve ever imagined my daughter to be and more. Already in your short (almost) eight months of life you have shown those around you just what type of little girl you are. You are so brave, almost fearless, as a matter of fact. You are loving and delight in making those around you smile. You are determined like no other. Whatever it is your little mind and body is learning you practice at it with all you have. You are a LITTLE (okay, a lot a) bit sassy but I love that about you. You know what you want and you won’t take no for an answer. You are strong willed and oh so smart.
All of these characteristics are defining and revealing who you are as a person. All of these characteristics if used in the right manner will make you an incredibly strong, courageous, joyful, loving and all around beautiful woman one day and that makes me one proud and excited Momma.
Baby girl, your story is different but I pray you choose to make beauty from ashes. Everyone has their own unique story, some have brokenness, some have loss, some have split families, some have no family, some have big wonderful families, some have money growing up, some do not. Those situations help build your character but never let your differences define you in a negative way. You are the only one who determines your own happiness, always choose joy.
No matter what, I love you. I love you unconditionally. I Love you with every fiber of my being. I will always be here for you. I will always be your biggest fan. You can always come home. You will never be too old to lay your beautiful red hair in Momma’s lap for me to run my fingers through it and sing Amazing Grace to you. I pray that in your time with me I can be such a bright light for Jesus in your life and that by example I can teach you to be kind, loving and compassionate to others. I pray I can always make you smile, I pray you always reach for me in times of trouble. I pray you always know my heart and know that I will do anything in my power to ensure you have the best, most loving, most joyful childhood you can possibly have. People have said that you are lucky to have your Daddy and I as your parents, but it’s quite opposite. We are beyond blessed to call you our daughter. I will love you with my whole heart for my whole life.
Love always and forever, alllll the way to Jesus and back, Momma.
