Hane & Jonathan
Among Friends
As a wedding photographer I am invited into people’s lives for one day. There is a lot of talking and getting to know each other between our first meeting and the big day, but once their final photos are delivered, they move on with their new life, and I move on to my next couple. Walking into Hane and Jonathan’s wedding day I was immediately surrounded by an incredible sense of belonging. I felt like more than a hired vendor; I felt like an invited friend. Hane and Jonathan met while they both worked in Sonny’s BBQ. So, whether they learned their friendly and welcoming nature together, or it’s just their natural effervescent personalities, they agree that strangers turn into friends and friends turn into family. They have a truly magical gift to make everyone around them feel at home.
How could it be any different on their wedding day? Hane and Jonathan chose to exchange their vows at Stonebridge. Previously Lange Farm, Stonebridge is such a beautiful space that is so perfectly simplistic and elegantly rustic. It was the perfect location for Hane and Jonathan to celebrate their love. The big oak tress shaded guests from the summer heat and the crystal chandeliers and marble floors in the Garden House were like walking in a dream.
Song as Old as Rhyme
Jonathan’s mother passed before she was able to walk down the aisle with her son. He wanted to find the perfect way to display her presence at their wedding. With a pearl ring and dotted purple accents throughout, his mother was certainly there to celebrate in spirit. The color purple is known to uplift spirits, calm the nerves, and inspire nurturing tendencies. It was the absolute perfect color to represent Jonathan’s mother. And Jonathan was able to celebrate another amazing woman in his life. His grandmother! The sweetest, most fun-loving lady I’ve ever met, she danced with her grandson with a huge smile on her face and sang a beautiful song to him and Hane. I swear there was not a dry eye in the room!
Hane and Jonathan, your wedding day flew by in a flash! As minutes turned to hours, now days, and sooner than you think, years will have passed. You might wonder to yourself; how do you make a moment last forever? The answer, friends, is love. Thank you so much for having hearts filled with kindness and love. We need more of you in the world. I wish you both the very best. Thank you so very much for allowing me to be a part of your very special day.
