I’ve always had a big heart for our country and for those who risk their lives and commit themselves to protecting it. During our consultation I soon found out that Daniel (an american soldier) shares that same love. Daniel and Daniela’s wedding plans are going to be a great way to reflect that love. Daniel made a comment that he wanted to make it a point to have an American Flag in some of their wedding photos and possibly the engagement photos. He had a vision to incorporate this love for our flag and I am honored that they chose me to bring that vision to life!

Now, I have to share a little confession lol! I’m pretty sure during this session, I held my head a little higher than normal and rocked my “job” as a photographer in a different way than normal. I mean, it’s a pretty big deal to be photographing a real life hero and his devoted and adorable bride-to-be! All kidding aside, I felt so proud an honored to capture such a special couple. Daniel wore his traditional military uniform and Daniela wore a beautiful red dress and the colors complimented and blended to each other in the most wonderful way! The wind was quite strong that day, which was great for flying flags for photos, not so great for Daniela’s hair but she was a good sport and just went with it! It was also very cold and you’d never know it by her glowing smile but poor Daniela was freezing and covered in chill bumps for more than half the session, but yet again, this girl totally rocked it!

These two together were so naturally in love there were time’s I’d get so caught up in just capturing their genuine moments that I’d almost forget that I needed to direct them to the next pose. The way they held each other, embraced each other and looked into each others eyes was so beautiful to me. But with all that mushy gushy goodness they also kept me laughing with how authentic and real they were with each other. These two have just the right mixture of sweet and sour lol!
