I knew from the second Yesi stepped out of the car wearing an adorable tulle skirt, this session was going to be AMAZING! Next thing ya know here comes Alfredo from the other side of the car wearing nothing short of style and class! I had to do some serious self-control and act as professional as possible. Inside, now that’s another story, I was jumping for joy at the sight of how fabulous they looked! Yesi’s second outfit was a beautiful champagne colored full length dress! This couple has some major style!
Treasure Island is one of my favorite beaches in Florida and if you go down just a little further than the main beaches you come to Sunset Beach. The sand is soft and white, seashells are easy to be found and the water is nice and clear! I love that there is a wall of rocks that serve as the perfect photo back drop! There is also a beautiful white Pavilion area that is usually filled with wedding parties this time of year. There is even a perfectly “hidden” boardwalk with beach grass and tropical trees sprouting up on both sides. Sunset beach is more of a beach for locals so it’s never overly crowded! And as the name suggests the Sunsets there are always spectacular. The mixture of this beautiful setting with these amazing clients made for a gorgeous photo session!
We couldn’t have asked for nice weather. The winds winds were perfect, just those soft ocean breezes. The warm florida sun shined brightly, and there were just enough clouds to provide a soft and elegant ocean sunset.
We started out on the boardwalk so we could avoid the still pretty harsh Florida sun! Normally my first ten minutes or so of photos aren’t the best ones of the session. It normally takes a little time for me to get camera settings just right and for my clients to warm up to the camera and start feeling comfortable (This is all a completely normal part of the session). The THIRD shot I captured was to die for! I was seriously beginning to think this was too good to be true! But I continued shooting and the session continued being amazing! We then headed over to the pavilion to take advantage of a little more shade as well as the crisp white pillars and light green trees. Once the sun began to drop just enough we headed out to the shore. The rocks gave fantastic texture to their photos. I always tell my clients we are more than likely going on some type of adventure during their session, for Yesi and Alfredo that adventure was rock climbing. Then to end the session perfectly we finished our last shots along the shore line as they walked, giggled and took in the beautiful evening.
I also must take a second to discuss the undeniable chemistry between these two! I swear you would have thought they were paid models who happened to also be in love! They were so cute to watch! I rarely had to pose them, they were constantly just naturally communicating poses with each other and genuinely interacting with one another in such a beautiful way. The love was genuine and real and so were the smiles. They made my “job” (aka dream job) super easy and fun! Yesi and Alfredo are seriously two of the sweetest people I have ever met. They were, kind patient and flexible. They trusted my abilities and talents and allowed me to provide them with these beautiful memories.
Lastly I have to say a huge congratulations because, Alfredo and Yesi are getting MARRIED this fall and you can clearly tell it is meant to be!! They are so aware of one another and their communication and respect is wonderful. I can’t wait to see their wedding photos!! I know it is going to be so gorgeous.
