Good Luck

They say rain on your wedding day is good luck. They say that because when a knot is soaked in water it becomes stronger. The fibers tighten and it becomes impossible to untie. So when you tie the knot, a little rain can make for a lot of magic! Anna and Reid had absolutely stunning stormy wedding day. The wind whipped Anna’s veil with grace, the rain in the distance gave the sky a dark bridal blue hue, and right on the water of Sunset Harbor, Anna and Reid shined like the sun breaking through the clouds. The weather was delicate while their connection was a force of nature.

It’s typical on a wedding day to think back through your love story. But Anna and Reid’s story starts long before they met. Anna’s family prayed, from the day she was born, that she would find a good man. A man who would love and care for her. A man of God full of strength, patience, and promise. A man like Reid. Anna and Reid chose to save their first look for the moment Anna would walk down the aisle. As they waited in separate rooms for the big moment, the anticipation was the only thing we all could feel. A bouncing leg and a deep breath were the signals of a man and woman nervously ready for what came next. Surround by wall to wall windows, protected from the rain and an amazing view over the harbor, I caught a shot as Anna caught Reid’s eye and Reid caught his breath and the storms and the rest of the world faded away. All that mattered was the light in each other’s smile.

Water, Sun, and Fun

Reid’s motto is “water, sun, and fun.” The Crystal Ballroom in Daytona was the perfect venue to create an atmosphere that was exactly that. Anna’s mother, Jan helped the couple’s vision and personalities come to life on Sunset Harbor. The simplicity of the space let the view absolutely shine and the sparkle in their eyes take center stage in every photograph I captured. The beautiful style they brought to the day through florals and details were seriously my favorite! Everyone had such a blast, even my Ana couldn’t resist spinning on the dance floor!

Altogether I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day, rain and all! The breeze was cool, the music was hot, and Anna and Reid were at home in each other’s warm presence. So, Reid and Anna, when the next summer rain comes, hold each other tight and remember, it’s the storms that make you stronger and look for the sun breaking through the clouds.

Anna and Reid, I truly believe the two of you are a match made in heaven! I”m so thankful to have been just a small part of your love story and am so excited for your future together!

Many many blessings and big hugs, Brandy
